New world class theatres now open

Warringal Private Hospital is delighted to announce the opening of new world class theatres at the hospital with the first operations performed in the new theatres on Monday 13th October.

The six new theatres have been eagerly anticipated, and will be shortly followed by the opening of two new levels of patient accommodation. This development is the culmination of years of planning and consultation.

Additional onsite parking, and the continuation of the complimentary staff shuttle to the Repatriation Hospital has alleviated parking challenges for patients and their families, given the high demand for parking within the medical precinct shared with Austin Health.

In recognition of the growing demand for private hospital services, Ramsay Health Care will progress plans for further development of the hospital. Banyule Council has formally approved an additional three levels of private rooms, including four additional operating theatres and additional parking.

Hospital CEO Petra Snelleman said the Hospital gratefully acknowledges the work of its wonderful staff and doctors, and recognised the patience and tolerance shown by patiens and families during what has been a very disruptive year of construction.

"Warringal Private Hospital is looking forward to the official opening of the new development in December 2014 and to future growth and development to support the healthcare needs of the community in the years ahead," Ms Snelleman said.
