Warringal Private has long been recognised as ‘the private hospital of choice’ for many patients who reside in the northern suburbs and for staff and doctors that want to work at a high quality, tertiary private hospital. Over the last 46 years, we have seen the hospital services expand to meet demand and, as has occurred on many occasions previously, we are now at full capacity in many of our clinical areas and valuable support services.

To support the growing population and its demand for health services, Ramsay Health Care is investing in another major building and development project at Warringal Private Hospital.

This exciting $180m project is set to enhance private health service provision in Melbourne’s north, providing additional state of the art facilities and services to support the health care needs of the community.


Once the expansion is completed, the hospital will feature 290 single occupancy bedrooms, 14 operating theatres, a new 14 bed Intensive Care Unit, a new Diagnostic Imaging department, a new Emergency Department, a brand new 29 bed Day Surgery Centre plus much more.
