Kiron is a General Surgeon with an interest in Upper Gastrointestinal / Bariatric Surgery.
Kiron trained at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne and gained UGI fellowships at the Austin Hospital and Monash Medical Centre, Melbourne, gaining comprehensive experience in Upper GI surgery including Bariatric Surgery and Pancreatic Surgery. In 2011, he completed an additional fellowship at the National Cancer Institute Hospital, Tokyo, Japan. This enabled him to gain further experience in advanced Oesophageal and Gastric cancer surgery including laparoscopic and endoscopic techniques.
Kiron is a consultant surgeon with the department of upper gastrointestinal surgery at the Austin Hospital, Melbourne. He consults privately in Martin Street, Heidelberg and Gisbourne. Kiron provides a dedicated, multidisciplinary model of care for the management of bariatric patients.His main surgical and research interests are in General Surgery, benign oesophageal disorders including Reflux, Oesophageal/Gastric cancer and Bariatric Surgery, including minimally invasive and laparoscopic techniques.
