Mr Ben Campbell obtained his medical degree at the University of Melbourne and then completed his Orthopaedic training in Victoria. He undertook further training with a Fellowship in advanced hip and knee arthroplasty and sports injures at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford, UK. This also included working with the developers of the Oxford partial knee replacement and with research teams from Oxford University.
Mr Campbell now works in private hospitals in Melbourne's Northern and Eastern regions. He has an interest in:
- Knee replacement surgery: partial (unicompartmental), total and revision
- Hip replacement surgery: primary and revision and use of the anterior approach
- Knee arthroscopy and ligament reconstruction
- Hip arthroscopy and impingement
He also works at the Northern Hospital and Box Hill Hospital where, in addition to his role as a Consultant Surgeon, he is involved in arthroplasty research and registrar teaching.
