Mr Matt Barnes is a fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with a clinical focus in the treatment of hip and knee conditions.
After receiving his medical degree at the University of Melbourne, Mr Barnes went on to complete the Orthopaedic Training program with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Melbourne. He is a registered fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
Mr Barnes is based in Melbourne and works privately at Warringal Hospital. Mr Barnes also holds a public appointment at the Austin Hospital.
Mr Barnes has been awarded several prestigious international fellowships, gaining further knowledge and surgical skills in the areas of hip and knee surgery. His areas of clincal focus includes hip replacement surgery including anterior approach hip replacement, hip arthroscopy and revision hip replacement. His skills extend to knee replacement surgery and sports knee including ligament reconstruction and arthroscopy.
