Warringal Private Hospital is pleased to introduce Ms Namrata Anavekar, a qualified Plastic Surgeon and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
During her surgical training, which included rotations through St Vincent’s Hospital, The Royal Children’s, The Alfred and The Austin, Ms Anavekar gained extensive experience in the full spectrum of plastic surgical procedures.
Upon completion of her training, Ms Anavekar undertook an overseas fellowship in both Switzerland and France. This was directed at gaining further experience and a broader perspective in the fields of maxillofacial surgery, head and neck surgery, rhinoplasty and aesthetic surgery. During this time, she had the opportunity to work with internationally renowned surgeons including Pr Bernard Devauchelle and Pr Sylvie Testelin, who were responsible for the first face transplant.
Throughout Ms Anavekar’s surgical career, she has maintained a keen interest in research, having published numerous articles in plastic surgical journals, as well as textbook chapters.
Ms Anavekar’s public hospital attachments include The Austin, Frankston Hospital and Barwon Health, and she is available for consultation at Heidelberg Surgical Services and Canvas Plastic Surgery in Mornington. She is committed to providing a comprehensive service to her patients with a personalised approach.
Ms Anavekar is pleased to accept referrals pertaining to all aspects of Plastic Surgery, ranging from skin cancer management to hand surgery to aesthetic surgery. Given her experience whilst in Europe, she is particularly interested in maxillofacial and head and neck surgery.
