Dr. Antoniades has a wide range of specialisation interests including obstructive sleep apnoea, chronic respiratory failure requiring home ventilation and non-respiratory sleep disorders. He has a sleep and respiratory disorders practice and also remains closely involved in postoperative general medicine having achieved a certification of Graduate of the Chapter of Perioperative Medicine. Dr. Antoniades is a member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand, as well as the Australasian Sleep Association. Committed to education, he is involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and is a Fellow of the Melbourne Medical School Academy of Clinical Teachers.

Dr. Nick Antoniades is a graduate of the University of Melbourne. He trained as a Respiratory and Sleep physician at St Vincent’s Hospital and the Austin Hospital in Melbourne. He received his FRACP and Certificate of Advanced Training in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine in 2005. 

He currently is employed as a senior physician at Austin Health and Warringal Private Hospital. He is a Director of Melbourne Respiratory and Sleep Services and The Northern Sleep lab. He is also a research fellow at the Institute of Breathing and Sleep.

His major subspecialty interests are in sleep disorders, respiratory failure and COPD but is involved in managing all respiratory and sleep disorders.

He provides a bronchoscopy service at Warringal and is involved in post operative general medicine as well. He is a member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand and the Australasian Sleep Association.

He has an interest in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching and is a lecturer at Melbourne University (Austin Clinical School) and a Fellow of the Melbourne Medical School Academy of Clinical Teachers.
