Dr Glareh Arfaei is a Pain Medicine Physician and Rehabilitation Physician Glareh graduated from the Iran University of Medical Sciences in 2003 before undertaking training in Australia. She became a Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine in 2016 before completing further subspeciality training in pain medicine, becoming a Fellow of the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.

Pain Specialists Australia, Co-Founder and Medical Director and Dr Nick Christelis holds two specialist medical qualifications in pain medicine: from the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, and the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in London (UK). Nick has over 15 years of experience and practices full-time within the field of pain medicine. Dr Annie (Suk Yi) Chu is a Specialist in both Pain Medicine and Anaesthetics.  With more than 16 years of experience practicing in the field pain of pain management, Dr Chu is considered a leader in this field of medicine, where she now practices full-time at Pain Specialists Australia.  She graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and trained in Clinical Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine in Hong Kong before becoming a Fellow of both the Faculty of Pain Medicine and Faculty of Anaesthesiologists in Hong Kong in 2015 and 2005 respectively.  She also became a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2006.

Dr Esther Dube is a Pain Medicine Physician, with a particular interest in managing patients in the peri-operative phase of care both from a medical and pain perspective but also chronic pain patients who have complex medical issues and cancer related pain.

Dr Andy Kwok embarked on his medical journey by earning his undergraduate degree in medicine from Dundee, Scotland in 2008. Following a foundation in medical training, he achieved Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in London in 2012. Dr Kwok further honed his expertise, specialising in anaesthesia and pain management at prestigious institutions such as the London St George’s School of Anaesthesia and the Barts and the London School of Anaesthesia, culminating in his accreditations with the Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA) in 2018 and the Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FFPMRCA) in 2021. Dr Ilonka Meyer is a Pain Medicine Physician and Anaesthestist, with a strong interest in peri-operative pain and medication optimisation, interventional pain treatments, cancer pain and palliative care.

Dr Anthony Njo MB.B.,B.S., FANZCA, FFPMANZCA, FHKCA, FHKCA(Pain Medicine), FHKAM (Anaesthesiology), MPH

Dr Njo has been practicing in Pain Medicine for over 12 years and as an Anaesthetist for 20 years. Anthony graduated in 2001 in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Hong Kong. After completing his Fellowship in Anaesthesiology of Australian & New Zealand College and Hong Kong College, he started noticing his passion for helping patients suffering from pain. He started practice in Pain Medicine in 2009 and obtained dual Pain Medicine Fellowships of Australian and Hong Kong Colleges. In addition, he holds a master degree in Public Health.

Dr Stiofan O'Conghaile MBBCH BAO, FCAI, FANZCA, FFPMANZCA

Stiofan graduated from University College Dublin in Ireland before undertaking vocational training. During this time he developed a strong interest in pain management. He trained both in Ireland and in Australia and completed specialist training both in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine. Having gained comprehensive training and experience in all areas of pain management, Stiofan became a Fellow of the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2015.

Ivan plays a major role in developing the field of Pain Medicine; he is a Faculty Tutor responsible for training the next generation of pain specialists. As an investigator in clinical trials of pain therapies, he applies the latest knowledge from research studies to best help his patients. Ivan has expertise in treating a range of pain conditions including nerve (neuropathic) pain, spinal pain, persistent pain after surgery, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), fibromyalgia, joint pain, headache, facial pain, abdominal / pelvic pain and other pain conditions. Minimally invasive procedures including nerve blocks, radiofrequency treatment, regenerative treatment such as as platelet-rich-plasma (PRP) and implantable devices such as spinal cord stimulator (SCS).
