Dr Emily Rickman is a Pain Medicine Physician. She has a diverse experience, having worked throughout several states in Australia in both metropolitan and remote locations.
Emily completed her general practitioner training in an Aboriginal Controlled Health Clinic in North Queensland in 2017. As a general practitioner she ran a general practice in an aged care facility in Victoria for four years and worked with the staff to provide high quality palliative care within the facility. Emily went on to complete a diploma in palliative medicine before transitioning to the field of pain.
Emily is passionate about improving the health care experience for patients and assisting the most vulnerable to achieve better health outcomes. Her experience in psychology, palliative medicine and aged care have led to a holistic approach to patient care. She is a strong advocate for evidence-based medicine and ensures that patients understand the rationale behind their treatments.

In her down time, Emily is a yoga instructor and lives an active lifestyle. She can often be found reading science fiction, baking and spending time with her family.
