- further investigations for migraine; and
- PFO or ASD query
The Cardiovascular Procedure Centre provides a TOE service up to three times per week with different Echo Cardiologists thus ensuring a timely diagnostic service for all of Warringal’s patients.
How to refer patients
The majority of referrals are from cardiologists, cardiac surgeons and neurologists. Our Echo Cardiologists are certainly happy to take referrals directly from GPs.
Usually patients will attend a cardiologist first and if the need for further investigation is required our Echo Cardiologists would appreciate a Cardiology Request Form. At Otherwise, a letter outlining the purpose of the test and questions being asked is also acceptable. The appropriateness and suitability/safety of each TOE case will be determined by the assessment of an Echo Cardiologist.
